About ME
Michael is a St. Louis-based actor attending Webster University's Sargent Conservatory for Theatre Arts to earn a BFA in Musical Theatre with a Dance minor. At school, he was last seen as the SpongeBob u/s and Dance Captain in The SpongeBob Musical as well as the Assistant Choreographer and Male Swing in The Lightning Thief. But before making his way to St. Louis, he was originally from Sacramento, CA!
Michael grew up doing community theatre with the award-winning and nationally recognized Musical Mayhem Productions. He is endlessly grateful for his experience there, the memories he has made, and the people he has met. There, he got the opportunity to be an intern for their 4 to 10-year-old program. With this internship, he not only got the chance to work with kids, but also designed costumes for them in their own junior musicals. Getting to see the joy on their faces when they put on their costumes for the first time is something he misses a lot from home. Working with kids is such a fulfilling experience, and he hopes to do it again in the future.
After his years studying in undergrad, he plans to move to New York City and build his life there. And because of the impact teaching young artists had on him, he hopes that one day he will get his MFA in Theatre and use it to inspire the next generation of creators. Theatre is vital for the world today, telling stories of community, hope, and love is of the utmost importance to him. Michael is unwilling, now more than ever, to let theatre and the arts be stripped away from people's lives, and he is eager to be a part of a collective working towards changing people's lives through art.
